Last year, I had only three lilies that bloomed, due to deer eating all but four of my lilies. I thought I'd share a few pics with you. I hope to have many more to share later this Summer! If anyone knows for sure what the name of the white & yellow lily is, I'd love to hear it. I had been thinking it was "Amazing", but these are much taller this year at almost 5', so I'm not so sure now. It came in an "Oriental mix" and did not have a label.
Thanks for looking!

A few pics from last year's lilies
Looks like Amazing to me. The height of lilies can be affected by the amount of sun it gets. Usually, the less sun, the taller the lily.
Hmmm... It actually gets full sun until about 2-3 pm, then it's dappled shade. I've read several descriptions of Amazing on different sites, and one notes they can be quite tall at over 5', and another that they only grow to 3-4'. I don't know which one is correct! I was thinking this particular lily was taller this year (last year grew to about 2') because it's the second year.
Where duid you get your Dizzy? Looks far more colourful than mine. Mine was a freebie from a supplier a couple of years ago. Lovely pix.

Many of my lilies are much shorter the first year than the second year. My Black Beauty was only about 2 ft the first year, 3 fit last year and looks like it will be near 5 foot this year.

Susan, I am assuming that my lilies are taller because this is their second year, as you mentioned your lilies grew taller in subsequent years. The bulbs were fairly large when I originally planted them.
Inanda, I recieved my Dizzy bulb(s) in an "Oriental mix" from White Flower Farm. I think the mix had about 12 bulbs, all of which were unlabeled, so I'm guessing the lily is Dizzy. I wish I'd done more research on bulb vendors before I bought the mix, because now that I know about all of the places to buy lilies I could have selected exactly which bulbs I wanted!

We all have a few of those purchases. ;)
But now that you've seen them in your own garden, it's easier to know which kinds you like and those that you don't. Sometimes those 'mixed bag' buys a great deal and a nice surprise.
