Kolkwitzia amabilis
Kolkwitzia amabilis
I have 2 of these, and two weeks out of the year its beautiful, any other time its a bird haven. They also "walk".Mike
They also "walk".
OK, I'll bite! Do you mean they tip-root, like Rubus?
Guy S.
Yes,they "tip root through the tulips",every where a limb touches the ground, like forsythia.Mike
That is interesting. Mine does not walk, but then the
branches do not touch the ground.
You have, however, given me an idea for easier propagating.
I grew this one from seed in 1993 (?).
yours also is on a lawn, and both of mine are by a plant bed, whitch seems to draw them to the ground, and you think that old kolkwitzia is really getting large.Mike
Yours are probably more vigorous because of the longer
growing season in your Zone.
I appreciate knowing your experience. Thank you.
Corinne
