Yesterday, the stork dropped a few babies in our yard. 3 heritage river birch trees. When they arrived, I noticed one of the three had signs of a rough time recently. The outside edge of many of it's leaves were burnt, brown and curled. The other two look perfect but this one has me wondering how it's going to do. Can anyone give me an idea from the picture as to what I'm getting into? Thanks in advance,

Whats wrong with her?
Looks a bit like frost damage from a late frost a month ago or so
Resin
. . . or it might have sustained some root damage. Plant them all and see what happens!

Well I doubt it was frost seeing as though we had a very mild winter here in southern california. The trees all came in 24" wood tree boxes that were pretty well aged so I can't see how the roots could have taken a hit either. There seems to be a fair amount of new and healthy growth (about 3 leaves or so) past the hurt leaves. Maybe it's drip got clogged a while back or something. She'll probably be allright. We'll just have to see. Thanks guys!
