Candee
Nice welding unit - not only is the man an artist, he picks great equipment. Can we clone him? I am sure there would be many orders!!
I can say it in one word, WOW!!
Brenda
Absolutely awesome!

Hi, Guys...here is a picture taken yesterday of the most recent pair of gates John has just completed and hung. A mixture of old and new material. Probably has 40 hours of work into each one. Floral spray are imported from Italy (cheaper than we could have made them here) and hand painted and welded to the gates.
Your floral Spray from Italy is absolutely gorgeous!!..How deliciously beautiful your garden will be this year!!...Look forward to the pics...Jeanne
It is so interesting to see how John does this...and so good of you to show us all.
I get excited when I see you have posted more of his ongoing work on the garden.
This coming spring I am sure you will dazzle us with the blooms you will plant.
I saved the photo of the gate with the serpentine tail closer, to my computer and then magnified it so I could get a better look.
He thinks of all the fine details. The Italian floral sprays add a lovely touch.
Do you do the painting once John has them installed?
There just aren't enough words to do it all justice..and I never forget the love story behind it.
Cheers,
Carol
awww...thanks Carol (blushing)...yeah...he's real special...
He said to thank you all for the kind words..
and no Carol, I don't do the painting...he does it all. All my time is consumed running around my basement grow center tending to brug seedlings and other flower seedlings I am preparing for Spring Planting :-)
Oh yes..I remember all those brugs out there last summer..your babies..LOL
Looking forward to seeing the potting shed completed this spring.
Carry on you two..have fun..
I'll be looking forward to more updates.
Cheers,
Carol
What an incredible garden! And that stone house-OMG!!!! I hope you post some pictures this spring when things start to sprout.
I am curious - during the growing season, how do the two of you keep everything maintained? How many hours does it take per week? I can't think of a better way to spend time.
Just amazing. : )

Absolutely gorgeous! I used to live in CT and had forgotten how lush and green the spring and summer seemed to be there. You both must be so proud of such an amazing acomplishment.
I cannot tell you how much I am enjoying the pictures of your garden and your husband's outstanding creativity. I believe I love the walls the most as your husband is especially masterful in the art of laying stone. From my own personal experience, his workmanship is comparable to the finest old world craftmanship.
Tussee
Wow, thank you Tussee - I have enjoyed looking at your yard as well that you posted on the "other forum" (can't mention it here) that we both belng too. Your perrenial gardens are magnificent as well.
Diane Krny
I have watched your beautiful garden grow over the last year and it is amazing. The stone and iron work is beyond wonderful. I look forward to your pictures this year.
Linda
Daine, LOL. Dave allows the mention of Garden Web here... they just send you to Disney if you mention DG over there!
"OT" comment here...I also "belong" to GW but since coming to DG I very rarely go over "there". There's no comparison whatsoever!!!
JMHO...
Diane-BEAUTIFUL garden, BEAUTIFUL house, WONDERFUL DH (didn't think he'd like to be called "beautiful"...lol!!!).

Diane
Oopsie!
OOPSIE from me, too.......LOL!!!
Hello Diane,
I've been wondering how your lovely garden is progressing this spring and how your garden made it through the winter months.
I hope all is well with you and John.
Donna
Hi, Donna
All is well in my little CT paradise. :-) Quite a bit of progress has been made. I have just been late getting going this spring (weird weather) and I am scrambling now to get things planted out for the year. I will be updating the thread with pictures and news in a week or so. I will start a new thread for 2007 and link it to this one. Stand by...
Diane, thanks for the update and I look forward to seeing all the new progress.
Donna
And so do I!!! :)
Wonderful! Can't wait to see how things are coming along.
I'm sure a lot of us have this as a watched thread.
Your house, garden and barn are beautiful. May I adopt your husband! LOL You may come along. He has done extraordinary work. What a delight it must be to walk in you garden. Barbara
Still just way cooool! I love it.
