Carrie got most of them last summer....I think she is in Italy now, isnt she???
GardenGuy25 has asked for them, he works at the place where I had therapy on the hand 6 months last year..he is young and full of enthusiasm for all plants. So let him have at it..LOL
Whiskers Amazes Me
At least you won't have to pack them up and send them out. I'm glad they will have a good home. I think she is still gone. Hope she is having fun.
Well that makes 3 of us. I don't know what makes me stick every broken branch in water to root, can't stand to compost anything that might grow roots and live. I rescue dogs, cats and people too. BUT now it's time to stop all that and go fishing instead. Before you ask I don't use bait. lol lol
LOL, Judy. That is the best way to go fishing. No smelly or dirty hands from digging in the bait, no smelly hands from cleaning the fish, and the house never gets that fishy odor from cooking. I love it. Besides...there are no remains to get rid of. I remember when we used to dig a hole in the garden for the remains and the next few days, the dogs or coyotes would have them dug out. I found it was easier just to throw them on the ground and let them dine.
I do have the same problem when it comes to broken branches, but there is usually someone out there who needs a brug or two and they do get used. I can't say I enjoy the packing, but for good people, I'll do it.
I have good intentions but put off packing them, afraid I won't do it right and they will die, then before I know it they are too big for shipping.
Everyone does it differently, Judy. I have received brug cuttings with or without damp paper towels and plastic covering. They do okay either way, as long as you rehydrate the dry ones before putting them in soil. Could be they wouldn't even need that, but I do it. I've received one plant, bareroot...and I do mean bare, tossed in a box with some bare cuttings and NO packing. Every single cutting lived and after 5 days of soaking, the bareroot plant made it too. These things are TUFF!! So, don't worry. They will be fine when you pack them next time.
Fall 2004 someone sent me a cutting, I put it in water etc., about a week later I got around to throwing away the box and it felt a little heavy. I looked inside and sure enough there was another cutting and it had started putting out roots. Although it was an unknown pink and they are hardy, what are the chances of that happening again!!! lol lol
