Hello all,
I'm planting daylilies and I'd really like to avoid having to make another round of wire baskets, seem to remember hearing that gophers don't bother them....What do you think? Any experiences with this?
Thanks, Sherry
Daylilies/gophers
I've been growing daylilies for years and the gophers haven't yet eaten any. And, I do have plenty of gophers.
Hope that helps.
lilystorm, thanks mucho. I went ahead and planted about 25 yesterday and this greatly helps put my mind at ease. I couldn't believe that no one had any experiences one way or the other! Perhaps I'll grow only daylilies.....
Sherry
I've been pretty shocked too that the gophers haven't sucked down any of my daylilies yet. They've certainly eaten some roses and other plants in my yard. The daylilies must not be as tasty to them.
Good luck!
