How do I do this ? Patti
sorting statuses alphabetically ?
Where are you in your journal when you're trying to do this? When I go to my main journal page and look at my list of statuses it's already alphabetical. Or are you trying to sort by status when you're viewing your list of plants? You can alphabetize almost any other column on the page, but you can't alpabetize by status. If you need to see all the plants of a given status together, the best way is to go to the main journal page and click on the appropriate link under the "access by status" section.
ecrane3 In the main listing "access by status" the list is alphabetical, but when I go to edit an entry and then to "what is the status" the list pops up in a random order. This is the list I wish to alphabetize just so finding the one I wish to click is easier. example: I go to my journal entry, "fritillaria rubra" and wish to change the status from" fall order 2006" to " arrived " and would like "arrived" to appear in alphabetical order in the list of status that I have entered. Not a big deal, but it seems strange that the list is in alphabetical in one place, but not the other. Patti
The list's not random, it's in the order that you created the statuses. So if you really want them alphabetical there you'll have to create them in alphabetical order. Or Dave will have to change the way it's programmed.
Yes, it is in the order created in one place, but it is alphabetical in the other which is odd. As you suggested, I may have to create a new list in alphabetical order then move relevant items...but if i add new statuses later I would be in the same weed patch. I'll survive this minor glitch. Thanks for the imput. patti
If it's an easy programming change then sometimes Dave will come along and change things like that to make things easier for people, but I'm not a programmer so I don't know how easy it is to change something like that!
