Just thought I would ask because I hadn't seen a thread on them yet. Here is one of mine.
Happy gardening,

Anyone growing chocolate morning glories?
Great color!
I planted some choc's but I only started them from seed a few days ago. This is my first year with several types of MG's by seed and I hope to post some pictures. Having never grown them before this year, I have little expectations, but I will post pictures of any successes.
Crossing my fingers,
Megan
Thanks Fish_knees! They ARE a very nice color. I just wish they also smelled like chocolate!!
Megan, this was the first year I planted this particular variety. In the past I have pretty much been a devotee to Heavenly Blue, but thought I would try something different this year. What varieties did you plant besides the chocs? I'm looking forward to some pictures from you later in the season!

These are just stunning of all the Morning Glorys. I love the Chocolate and the Rose Silk. They are soooo pretty.
This is the solid Chocolate Silk.........I just love it soooo pretty, I got the seed from Emma last year and didn't get to plant them until this spring. I sure am glad I got around to it...
That IS nice Willowwasp!! I was not aware of the solid Chocolate Silk...thank you for enlightening me!
Oh... My... Janett!! Those leaves are as beautiful as the flowers! You found my weak spot--variegated foliage. Did you start your MG's from seed and did the packet mention the foliage would be variegated, or did you find the plant already started? What, what?? Do tell more about your plant, please, and I would love to see more pics of it.
We may need to talk a seed exchange or a plant trade of some sort in the future. ;-)

I bought the seeds on a Swedish "e_bay" like site. I hope to have some seeds from it later but so far no pods on it. The seeds that I hade left over I gave to Joseph-Gerri2
Keep fingers crossed that atleast one of us get seeds.
Janett
I just wish it could get warm enough so I can START to plant all my seeds outdoor. today is only 48 F brrrr
Have some MG seedlings in big pots but they started to show signs of ITS TOO COLD take us indoors.
Janett
Hi Joseph--thank you for your kind words. The choc MG is a nice one.
Janett--those MGs do not like those low temps do they? Mine always wilt and look so sad when it is too cold. I dealt with that a lot this winter, moving them back and forth between the greenhouse and outside on nice, but cool days. Now, here in Texas, we are approaching the yucky, practically unbearable hot, dog days of summer, and it is still only May. The MG's don't fair so well on the far end of the temperature spectrum either, so my MG blooms will soon cease until the fall temps cool us back down. Plus it doesn't help that our drought is continuing.
I'll give you some of our heat if you'll send some cooler temps and rain over here! LOL That should balance things out nicely for us!!

I would trade drout and your zone with this wheater in a heartbeat. One can always water but its dang hard to heat the air outside
If I where to live to never see a snowflake again I would be in heaven
Janett
