This was from seed from my Joyce Cobb 2005...
I know... it doesn't look like joyce cobb.. but it is a pretty one. Maybe the next blooms.
A few Bloomers
Oh Joseph,
I bet you've got some beauties.. Sad to say here, the Ethiopia did not come back.. drat.. will have to start over and this time leave it in the pot instead of transplanting. It was doing just fine where it was.. (what was I thinking???) expiermenting.. now we know. Remember "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" who said that anyway?
I started these JMGs for this year, and will see what comes of them with time: Laurrie's Berry Ice (I think this one may be a Chinese MG but oh well), Akatsuki no Haru, Kohkan, Furisode, Shiborizaki, Mount Fuji, and Sazanami. I have a few species Ipomoea and other members of the Convolvulaceae going too, to include the Ethiopian MG. I really am enjoying the latter one...it seems to be content making a shrub-like habit of growth rather than sending out long vines...maybe that will come later once the plant gets a certain biomass.
It should be a colorful garden this year. Now if it would just get warm outside...it will be in the low 40s tonight! Yikes!
Joseph
