I was so excited when I saw it blooming a few days ago, but the strange thing is this was not the color it was last year. Has anyone heard of this happening before..The 1st picture is of this year and the second I took last year. I hope someone also can tell me what it is since I lost the tag. I bought the plant several years ago and have slit it up a few times and so far they are all this yellow color..It is still pretty.

And this one I took last year...Now I can't wait for my starglazer to bloom..I am defiantly going to have to add to my small collection..
hmm... are you sure it's the same lily? The lily in the first pic is located near a shrub and some iris and the lily in second pic is near a hosta. Do you have any growing in the some place as last years pic?
no I moved it and split it up last year and planted it next to my Rodie and a few others were also spaced out in other places in the garden and I only bought two the one in the second picture and my starglazer now all I see coming up are these yellows...I can't figure out what happened or if they did not change color I wonder where these came from..

Your original lily has quite narrow petals and the imposter yellow has wider petals as well as wider foliage. I would say they are not the same lily. Did your Star Gazer bloom true to type?
maybe its a yellow stargazer.......................kinda short though
yes my starglazer is true, and is very tall now, so I don't know..I have 3 pretty good size clumps that are just about ready to bloom so I will take another tomorrow and see what color they are..Here is my starglazer from last year...

no that is defiantly so much prettier than mine...I will have to take another picture this evening after the sun goes down since they don't look that yellow right now..

Ok here it is last night and the more it has an orange tint to it not yellow at all..
