Quail eggs in the incubator

Cottonwood, AZ

Hi,

Signed up on this forum hoping to find some HELP.

I was dooped. Bought the chickobater (?) had the option to come with Japanese quail eggs so I went for it.

I have managed to keep the temp between 97 - 100, have been turning regularly and filled the foot with water.
(found this all out online)

Also read on line that I should stop turning the eggs 3 days prior to hatch.

Um... how do I predict that? When I hear peeping?

I only have 6 eggs and will be majorly surprised if I get one chick. And after reading the posts here, will be thrilled if giving that I do get at least one hatch that I will be able to keep the little guy alive ; {

I got the 'special' baby quail water device and have feed and brooder ready to go just in case.

Thanks in advanced!

Shellwalker, if your eggs are bobwhite, they incubate for
23 days, so stop turning on the 20th day. It's a guestimate
that usually works. I almost went with the chickbator, but
read some that the temp is a little difficult to regulate. Let
us know how your hatch goes, I am curious. I would like to see
success for all the quail starters here!

NCffp163 Sounds as if your hatch is going well. How many do you
have now?
