Then my cinnamomifolia grew this enormous leaf this spring.
How about some cool leaves?
Wow, your cinnamomifolia is gorgeous!
Missed your comments about the buds: Congratulations!!

Marcy, those are ALL lovely and the compacta is extra lovely with those red leaves. I'm a sucker for red leaves...
Glad cinnamomifolia can get really big leaves. I now own a cutting myself! :-))

Wow, I haven't checked this post for awhile, what wonderful leaves. Marcy that big huge leave on your cinnamomifolia is cool, has your plant bloomed yet? And your var. compacta is way pretty. I have never seen one with so much coloring.... Very pretty
Christina how is your rigida doing? She was looking pretty sad.... Oh has your naumanii bloomed for you? This hoya grows like wildfire... I like it alot. I found a split leave like the one on your obscura, it's on my limoniaca.
I'm here looking at Marcy's compacta now and then. It's just stunning!
Tami, thanks for asking. My rigida has rooted (only small roots so far) and the big leaf looks a little better. I mist it every time I pass it - I just don't want to loose it! My naumanii has not bloomed but it has grown a lot this spring and I'm hoping...
Funny you should mention limoniaca. I've had a split on my limoniaca too, but it's not new, I just forgot about it. I didn't see a photo of yours, but perhaps you just forgot to enclose it...?
Christina
To cool, mine is not split that much, I will take a photo of her today and post it. I thought I saw a peduncle on her too, but now I can't locate it.
I agree Marcy's plant is awesome!!
I got that plant last summer on Ebay from ...(I think it was "Greenman"). Every summer I see those on Ebay but I don't see them yet. Don't bid it up high because there is always several on there. If you miss one...there will be another soon.
They come in 5 in pots & have several plants per pot with fairly long vines. I have it hanging under my olive tree where it gets some late afternoon sun but not a lot. I water it more than the others as I heard they like to stay moist but it has very good drainage.
I have another that I got 3 years ago and planted in a big self watering pot. It is truely awsome too. I have it hanging right outside my kitchen window so I can see it often. I will get a picture of it later. It has only bloomed once with one flower. The smaller plant has one flower forming now. My all green compacta has 8 flowers on it now. I think the all green ones are easier to bloom and grow, but I sure like the looks of the variegated ones better.
Marcy
Oh Marcy - beautiful! I especially like the view out your kitchen window!! Karen
WOW.... Looks like a oasis... Just spectacular.. THe plant out your kitchen window is huge.... Well so is your plain green form, and what a beautiful display of flowers. Your plants look so green and healthy... Thanks for sharing
Beautiful, Marcy....just beautiful!
Marcy, I may have to come look at them even closer. I will be moving back to Los Angeles the first week of July. Sounds like a meeting will be in order. Have you ever driven down to Kratuz's nursery. Or is it spelled Karutz?
Heather
These are beautiful and fascinating.....foliage is more important to me, personally, than blooms.
I had no idea that H. Deykei's leaves looked like that...and hellwigiana caught my eye too.
Will consider these two in the future...thanks for the photos!
