What is happening to my Callas?

Headland, AL(Zone 8a)

My calla lilies have finally popped up. They are just now unfurling and the leaves have these see through spots on them. It almost looks like they have little windows throughout the leaves. I know something has been eating them, but it is weird the way they are clear in those spots...these aren't holes...they are clear spots.

Bamabelle, some varieties of calla leaves have the spots. What color are yours? Look here at this one http://davesgarden.com/pf/go/115479/index.html . Can you see the foliage in the picture? I was growing some for the first time this year and when they opened up the foliage was spotted so I did some research to find that certain varities do have the spotted foliage. It just depends on which kind you have. Don't panic :) everything's fine.

While we're on the subject of callas, how big a pot should be used to plant a calla that gets about 20 inches tall?

The spots aren't white like a vareigated plant...they are actually clear. Like the leaves have little windows in them. Guess I'll wait and see what happens when they finish unfurling.....

That's the way mine are too. They bloomed just fine.

Good deal. I'll stop panicking! LOL! I'm like a mother hen. First thing when I get up every day, before I even brush my teeth and hair, I run out to check on my babies....my hubby says I am obsessed. He wants me to help him do some marketing, but I bught myself a reprieve...I told him taht by June it will be too hot to garden till ate in the afternoon...so he has given me till June before I have to start marketing...hee hee hee.....
