A friend is selling his house and told me that I could dig up his crinium lily. I did and transplanted it to my yard. It was in flower in his yard so I had to cut off the flower to be able to move it. It is now looking a little wilted. Should I cut off some of the foliage to help keep the transpiration down? The bulb was the size of a large onion.
Crinium lily
Someone might respond, but you might have better luck on the bulb forum. We mainly discuss lilium here. I do know someone transplanted some crimium earlier this year and it was discussed there.
It's probably best to leave the foliage unless someone tells you otherwise. It may perk up in a couple of days. :)
I think I may put some artificial shade over it for a few days. Thanks.
Agreed. It is probably just a little shocky. Some shade and water and it will be fine.
