This shrub is actually finishing up its bloom, but I found this one cluster looking fairly fresh. The fragrance far surpasses its visual beauty.

How pretty. Does it always bloom that early? And it is so much hardier than A.x grandiflora.

I agree- The fragrance is awesome!
Just budding up here. I pruned off all the "wild hairs" and it is at least presentable now. They do have wonderful fragrance, and also some of the best fall color to be seen. It's the darn habit that keeps it from superstar status.
