A friend of mine just bought a Pear Tree..Dosen't she need 2 so they can polinate?
Pear Tree
Umm, what kind of a pear tree? Please be specific.
Good question. (I hope it's not what you and I are thinking it could be!) But if it's a fruiting European or Asian pear, yes, most need a compatible pollinator for better fruit set. Check into the forum on fruit trees or whatever it's called for more advice.

I might be able to tell him/her which pear he/she needs (if any) as a pollinator but if I can't, I know Lucky can.
She tells me it is an Early Gold Pear tree...Does that help at all?
It sounds like it's probably a Pyrus communis cultivar and thus would benefit from pollination. Any pear species or cultivar that blooms at the same time will probably work. Try the fruit/whatever forum for detailed advice.

Thanks I will pass that on to her..
