I took these pictures last year of the morning glories growing in my bean patch. I didn't have the heart to pull them out so they coexisted with the beans for the season. This will be the first year I have ever planted any but I have loved them since I was a kid.
Wild Morning Glories
They're lovely Cindy. A gift from the birdies.
Jackie
Jackie, they are everywhere here. I bet if I went on a hunt through my yard and pasture, I would find hundreds of seedlings right now. I plucked 15 or so out of the new daylilies today.
This will be the first year I am going to plant them intentionally. I got yellow ones from Texas Puddy Print. I have acres of fence to cover and would love to try some seed of different varieties and colors.
Cindy, I'm also in zone 7. Ochracea might not be hardy in our zone.
Be sure and grow a couple in pots as back up to be moved inside before
cold weather. It bloomed in the winter for me in the green house but no pollinator so no seeds.
I would love to find hundreds of morning glory's sprouting in my yard.
What a wonderful problem.
Jackie
MG's are pretty no matter what kind, those were lovely.
