Start some seedlings from the plum pits and graft scions from the original tree onto them in a year or two. But keep in mind that the grafts won't be dwarf.

There are a number of reasons for grafting fruit trees. Grafting is a way to produce dwarf trees, to use root systems that are better adapted to certain soil types and climates, better disease resistance and to propagate a desired variety.

Your cuttings would probably grow into standard trees and may have weaker root systems. If you don't have room for large trees, you may want to buy another dwarf of the same variety.

I have tried meny times to get a cutting of a fruit tree to grow , no luck.
So i came to the conclusion that it cant be done.
If you try and it works let me know how you did it

You could try air layering a branch.

To the best of my knowledge you will have no success attempting to root cuttings from your plum tree. Really sorry about that.
