Steve,
You have me drooling all over my keyboard! Those pics are fantastic. My lily wish list is getting longer by the minute and it is only April!

Steve, wow so early on the orientals! I look at my stems and then at your flowers and I tell mine that soon they will be big and beautiful like yours.

Thanks so much for giving this lily lover a good dose of joy and beauty.

Thanks for sharing, Steve. You always get us revved up for the season.

Do you think your pink unknown might be Kiss Me Kate?

Well thanks Michelle, Ililyfan, & Moby.....I love lily season too - probably my favorite group among all the flowers and favorite time of year. Oh well, mine will all be gone when yours are going strong!

You're right, Moby - it looks very similar. I don't ever remember planting that one (Kiss Me Kate) but your picture looks just like mine. Thanks for the advice on the name!

Steve,
Just beautiful! I LOVE LaReve! And I have, for the first time, planted several lilies and can't wait to see them bloom! One I planted was the Kiss Me Kate. It looks beautiful in your picture. And I have many more to see. It's going to be really fun to see all the new lilies in my garden. And yours are just gorgeous!

No problem ~ we lily lovers need to look out for each other. ;)

Absolutely BEAUTIFUL lilies! My golly, those are gorgeous photos! I especially loved how the sunlight was captured with your orange and yellow photos. And the shadowplay behind your Golden Spendors, too! Your lilies are so healthy. Thanks for sharing all of them here.

Oh my gosh, I had to wipe up the key board from all the drool.
Some of mine have emerged but over half have not.

Soon will be posting pictures of fern leaf peony.

Steve, why do you think mine haven't bloomed yet? it is because they are newly planted? Seems like I should have blooms since I am in warmer zone. Anywho, they are coming along fine.

Lincoln, NE(Zone 5b)

Steve, your lilies are gorgeous! Great photos.

Nery, being newly planted will delay them. No need to worry, they'll be on track next year.

Greenwood, IN(Zone 5b)

Well thank you so much for the nice words, everyone :-) I have some more ready to pop and will post pics of those when they open. My Silk Roads are HUGE this year - they normally bloom in June and I have a stalk in front of my front door that was 72" high already today when I measured it! So, a month of growth yet to go!

Nery, a lot of it depends on the variety. I have found here in TX I have Asiatics and even a couple of Orientals come up in April, and I have some Asiatics that consistently wait until early June to bloom. So, while the general trend is Asiatics, then Trumpets, then OT's, then Orientals, there is a lot of overlap.

I want to say this is King Pete? Just opened today - pretty spectacular from a distance.

More Futuras opened up front today.....sorry I just love these!

A simple white Asiatic that somehow has been left in the back of the garden - need to move it to the front where it is more visible

I don't think it is King Pete. I grew KP for a few years and it was a straight outfacing lily (1b in lily speak). KP is not a pure yellow. It is more orange-ish gold-ish with lighter petal tips and edges. Futura is sure a beauty!

Haydenville, MA(Zone 5a)

Love the Futura! thanks for sharing your lilies!
