Here's a fresh photo of arnottiana. Though I can't say the smell is fresh - IT STINKS! It's in Robins computer room upstairs and he's not home right now... I won't tell him where the smell comes from - it'll be fun to see what HE says about it. To me the closest I could think of when I smelled it was really strong Danish cheeze, but not as "heavy" as the cheeze... What a disappointment!

Waiting and waiting...
Those are georgeous, Christine!! Congratulations.
Yes, the translator http://www.tranexp.com:2000/Translate/result.shtml does make sense although the literal translations can be a bit humerous (i.e. when I said "hugs" it was translated to "embrace").
Ann
I don't know why that hyperlink screwed up, but here it is written out.

The H. arnottiana flower is beautiful! I have one but it's still a baby. Too bad about the scent. Send it over here.....for some reason the flowers don't smell the same in the States.
Lotta, the anulata is also very cool looking!
Yes, on the Swedish lessons....I got so hung up looking at one of the websites you sent a link to that I didn't get anything done at work. There was a beautful photo of a barn and farm where you could vacation. Wish we were all independently wealthy and could afford to hoya ''surf' the world like they did in the surf movie "Endless Summer". We could call it "Endless Hoya". Wouldn't that be sweet?
Susan
LOL....Endless Hoya.....I love it!
Would the theme song be "My Endless Hoya," sung by Lionel Ritchie?
All three of the hoyas mentioned look great! I have both the arnoitta and the anulata and have kind of neglected them. Looks like they will need some close attention. The blooms are great! As for cembra, well, that's a definite must have for me. I ordered cuttings from David Liddle, but unfortunately, they didn't make it. Back to the drawing board.
Heather
as always, great photos!
:O I hope Awanda doesn't see your caudata.... She is a yellow lover... What a pretty flower. How is the smell on this one? Interesting description on the danish cheese smell, I may have to pass on that one. Very pretty Christina thanks for sharing
That is the sweetest little bloom! Congrats.
Ann
Ohh, I love your new camera! What a fantastic picture of the yellow caudata!!! I didn't know there was a yellow blooming one. Thought they were all white.
Heather
I just don't seem to be able to pass it without looking at those yellow flowers. They are more yellow this time than they were last time I had yellow flowers. However, last time I had 2 umbels next to each other; one white and one yellow. That's how I knew I had them both in the same pot! Here's the photo from last time.
Christina
Now I'm jealous! The caudata is gorgeous! I love the yellow flowers.
I think I am going to give this hoya business up and ship them all to you.....I'm serious!
Susan
I've got 3 caudatas and NONE of them have ever bloomed ANY color flowers. Ha. Is there a secret to getting blooms on that one? Is it hard to get to bloom like some others?
Marcy
I love those little furry flowers!!
The waiting is over for my Jennifer. I knew it would be like incrassata, but incrassata flowers are tiny compared to the flowers of Jennifer. The combination of the pale yellow with the almost purple tips = just perfect! The fragrance is not as strong as my other hoyas with similar flowers, but who cares when they are so pretty!

Very VERY impressive photos, Christina.... H. cembra is one of my faves...I have a big one hanging outside of my porch and at night it is heavenly. H. cv. Iris Marie is almost exactly the same except for deepred coronas instead of green...
Christina, the photo of H. juangoiana is just fabulous. How hard is it to imigrate to Sweden? Maybe I could handle to cold weather after all....
Susan
