Well, I learned that I did not plant enough stringbeans. I planted 18 bush beans and a dozen pole bean (which started to give out on me when the heat became too much). I picked a nice amount of beans, but definitely needed to plant more than I did. So I'm going to do an entire bed just of bush beans and cowpeas.

Has anyone else learned yet what to plant more of or less of next season/year?

More leeks! I love them in soups, they freeze well and don't take up too much room, and the grocery store charges a ton for them.

Since I last posted, another 14 potato plants have broken the surface. Yeah, potatoes shouldn't be a problem.

Assuming my varmints let me have any!

But I love broccoli, and I wasted two seed packets discovering the fact that I apparently can't grow broccoli, not between the heat, the flea beetles, the four-legged varmints, and the drought.
