Acer x white tigress flowers

Cincinnati, OH(Zone 6b)

The snakebark maples have nice flowers, and at a young age too. My "White Tigress" hasn't even got an 1 1/2" caliber, and yet is blooming, as are my two and three year seedling A. pennsylvanicum and A. rufinerve. This shot is of my young WT.

This is of Spring Grove's twenty five foot White Tigress. Not a great picture, but note the abundance of flowers.

Let's visit southeast tennessee and look at another A. pennsylvanicum at elev. of ~2000'........ Looks like bud break is a week or two ahead of your pic! At elevations above 4000' A. penn's are still completely dormant!
