This is the 2nd flower, the 1st didn't open all the way :( I'll keep ya posted if any seed pods show up :)

That is one striking flower! Thanks for sharing! Are all the leaves cupped like the ones shown in the picture? I have a couple yellow leaved plants with cupped leaves, but they haven't bloomed yet. - Arlan

Yes, the leaves are quite ugly :(

Robertsdale, AL(Zone 8b)

This is interesting because I believe that the cupped leaves can be a sign of being heterozygous (split) for the feathered gene in I. nil. Maybe the flower is showing signs of this as well. This plant definitely has interesting genetics. I'd like to be added to the list for seeds if they become available! - Arlan

Stunning JMG there, Barbara! It has pushed the edge of the grooviness envelope for morning glories!

PS try saying that common name 3 times real fast! You just can't do it!

Sorry Ron, flower closed after only being open for about 6 hours. There are several very tiny buds coming up. I'll try to get a side shot for ya when one opens.
If I EVER get seeds I'll post :)

Joseph! We were posting at the same time LOL!

Joseph can probably give a little more info on this "groovy" MG. I got the seeds from him :)
Of course I had to give up Starbucks 4 days in a row to afford them ;)

Now that is a name to rival the length of the aomurisaki-thingy :) Beautiful bloom too!!

Congrats Dietmar! I find that about half of my blooms are a solid light grey, and half are speckled. Heres my latest....
