For Guy

Drool Baby! Drool!

Just teasing with you. I have surveying flags by the two you picked out and I spotted one that is going to come down this fall that you will want for your friend too. I bet this Buckthorn stumps are well over a 100lbs a piece. They look small in the photos but they're generously proportioned.

What's the ASCI symbol for slobbery drool, so I can insert it here?

By the way, for any of you accessible to central Illinois, the world-famous Illinois Native Plant Society plant sale is this Saturday in Springfield. It will be held at Washington Park Botanic garden from 9:00 AM until 2:00 PM. We'll have everything from small seedling native herbaceous plants to B&B trees wtih 100+ pound rootballs. Last year we cleared something like $13,000, which goes to fund a native plants/habitats restoration-grant program.

All of the plants are grown by members (including those little dwarf hackberries I showed you, Equil -- this is where they're going). If you want reallllllllly rare stuff, like one-of-a-kind hybrid oaks, show up to get in line at about 8:45 -- and if you want the fantastic close-out bargains, come back about 1:00 when everything left goes at 50% off! This is something you don't want to miss. Get a van and a couple of friends and come on over to Springfield.

Guy--is there a plant list online somewhere? What if I wanted the realllllly rare stuff at fantastic close-out bargain prices? What time is does that line form?

Illinois, IL(Zone 5b)

No list on line, sorry. We even surprise each other with what we all bring!

For your purposes, you should arrive at 8:45, find what you want, and guard it at gunpoint until 1:00!
