This is one of the best sales in southern California- anyone who loves weird and bizarre plants, as well as 'ordinary' ones, should visit Fullerton campus this weekend (off highway 57 near Yorba Linda exit). Usually good prices, and even though it might drizzle a little, that only makes the prices better.
Green Scene at Fullerton Arboretum this weekend
Darn, I'm gonna miss that one. Oh, oh, how I wish I could be there. I have had a great time finding cool stuff at Fullerton in the past, when I lived in Laguna. Now I actually have room to grow lots and it's soo, sooo far away.
It will be there next year, too.
Wellll, I don't know if you realize how hard it is for me to even think about going back into the fray of So Cal (LA, OC in particular) just now. I'm still basking in being in the quiet sanity of Cambria. Just wish I could twitch my nose and be there for the Green Scene and, twitch, be back again. Having lived here almost nine months now I can honestly say the only things I've missed are hearing the ocean to fall asleep to and my favorite nurseries/plant sales. My friends, not a problem, seems like I see more of them (or maybe it's quality-not-quantity time) now that they have a retreat to come to. But you may be right, maybe next year.
