I like forsythia. Mine are all Lynwood , except for one old fashioned F. suspensa. Ours are through blooming for this year.

Beautiful! I was going to plant one of the hardier ones, because for a while there no one had them any more. I guess I wasn't the only one who noticed. Now they're everywhere again and I don't want to add to the overkill. I just enjoy my neighbor's.

No, they get nipped by frost. Most of the old ones would have spotty bloom. There are new hybrids out that look nice. Some are smaller, which is what I want.
