I don't think most people associate Aronia with a good flower display. But there is more to this plant than just great fall foliage and colorful fruit. Check out the delicate beauty of the flowers in this close up. I do not know if this is A. arbutifolia or A. melanocarpa. If someone can tell me, please do!

Aronia flowers
I don't know which one it is but that is an absolutely gorgeous photo. I have Aronia arborfolia, brilliantisma, but still in tight bud. I will be sure to keep an eye on it when in bloom.

I usually try to ID them by the fruits or, if necessary, the leaves: Aronia melanocarpa has duller, broader, larger, symmetrical leaves; A. arbutifolia had glossier, smaller, semi-spatulate leaves; and A. prunifoilia is intermediate. But they're all nice.
