Veronica,I have 3 rex ,I think, one I'm not sure of.Can I start new plants from all of them? One of them ,"escargot" I have a leaf in water as you say.I tried it with a leaf from another plant and it just rotted,so I figured I'd try this one.Is it better to do wedges? Nice work on the pictures and explanations by the way.

Hi Veronica,
Your good advice looks familiar, I think we've met before. Here's my question - what kind of soil do you start your wedges in? My last cuttings didn't do too well, I think it was the new (too heavy) potting soil I tried - actually found fungus gnats munching on the edges of the cuttings! I bought jiffy mix hoping for better results this time. Thanks
