Oooh, Chantell, I LOVE those delicate flowers. The pink and white coloring makes it look DELISH! LOL I have a tiny Bella too, that I got from Rob's Violets last Fall. She has been growing a lot since Spring sprung(hahahaha). I'm going to keep her in the little 2.5 inch pot Rob shipped her in for at least another year. Good idea, no?

Chantell,

Only thing i can tell you about it is, the paper says it is "natures heart" It says it will send out shoots from the primary leaf, when it does you will be the 1st to get one and GH is she wants one too...

GH i love the verigated one you have, so pretty will look for it when i am out again plant shopping.

Oh My you both have bella...kimskreations is looking for one..I wish i could find her a well established one, she got me my African Mask and i love it....and would love to return the favor... Where did you all get yours from Online or from someone on here?

GH,
Actually I think that who I got my hoyas from. I kept it in the little cup for some time. They seem to thrive on being root bound. It's terrible that she blesses me with such pretty blooms when I do nothing...LOL. All my hoyas are in a north window - water them 1x ever 1-2 weeks and give plant food when the thought crosses my mind. :) Generally when I see buds. I did learn from someone else not to give them hair cuts and/or "deadhead" blooms. Wherever they bloom...they will again the next year. Hope that helps. She is one of my favorites... if she isn't a C or S...LOL

Ladies, I found this one today at the grocery store, of all places. I was looking at some scallots, produce section, when my ADD kicked in. LOL! I glanced over at the plant section, because I couldn't wait until I actually walked over there. When I saw this hanging basket of begonia, I raced over there to grab it! LOL I had someone on the begonia forum ID it for me: trout wing begonia(I forgot the name, already. See, ADD). ;)

Char,
I've got 4 very long cuttings rooting for Kim...she knows it'll be on it's way to her when her weather warms up. She wants me to keep them until they've got good size roots. :) I think I got mine from Robs-online.

I'll try to post pics of the Rex Begonias I've picked up at Walmart and HD..have them all in a long planter. They are gorgeous.

Chantell,

That is great, i hope she gets it sooon and can keep it growing...I think she had said she has alot trouble with plants that dont have good size roots....
I have alot of trouble with growing from seeds....i get them to grow but that is about, they just die after they peek there lil heads up...trying to grow some things now...so i got my fingers crossed.

I'm thrilled it will make her so happy. They've already got really good roots on them...so I'm sure they'll do well for her.

GH,
She looks great!!! Sure she'll have blooms for you by next year if not this year.

Char, whatcha growing from seed now? That is so cool. I love growing from seeds. I have some Clivia Miniata seeds growing roots right now. These are notoriously SLOW to germinate, so I've got my patience hat on, backwards. Hehehehe

Does the H. Bella grow fast, Chantell? What about water requirements? I'm not worried about the soil, as the soil Rob uses is VERY fast draining. I will need to give it some new soil either this Spring or next year. What do you think?

I am "trying" to grow

Calendula, which have poked there sweet lil heads up.... and
Selloum Philodendron....which i hear are extremely hard to grow..this is my 3rd attempt...I call them Moose Ears... and
Melo Cactus...which i got from someone on here, can't remember who now....
Blackeye Susans, and someother things i just cant think of right now....

Mine has grown faster then the other 3 hoyas I have. Mine has probably 12" long strands...and it's about 4 yrs old. I guess it just depends on what you're comparing it to. LOL I water mine no more then 1x a week....sometime 1x every 2 weeks. She doesn't seem to care much...I just make sure not to OVER water her. My understanding is to not over water or pot...and they stay happy. Believe me I'm no expert on these...she just seems to be a low maintenence happy camper

Nottingham, MD(Zone 7a)

Chantell, you do you grow Bella in a clay pot?

Middle of, VA(Zone 7a)

Nope...Walmart (of all places) has my most favorite plants. I put everything in them from Tropicals to C & S'. They're nothing fancy but I LOVE them!!! This year they only come in an eggshell & light avocado color. The company that makes them is called Misco Enterprises. Matter a fact...Kim has already picked some up at her Walmart up in Maine. :) You can water them from bottom or top. The base is elevated so no need for pebbles at the bottom or a dish at the bottom. They're great!!!

Hello My Friends :)

Chantell, we are getting a new house and I'm going to have 3 bay windows for all my babies.
I'm going to be sending you your yuccas soon as I need to get any trades I have pending done and not plan on doing anymore.
You can just keep rooting bella until the new house is here and set up as I will have to hang all my plants from trees outside while the house is being traded out and I don't want to have to put my new baby outside while she is so vulnerable.
I can't wait for the new house! I'm SO excited.
I think I'm going to send you the momma yucca and just keep the babies for myself so that hopefully you will get a bloom from it this year :)
I will write more later as I'm heading out the door but I have been offline for 2 days and having withdrawals.
Miss you guys :)
Kim

Kim,
I am so jealous (LOL) and happy for you....I LOVE bay windows...had one many years ago....I miss it - big time!!! The fact that you'll have three!!! Heaven or what?!!! You've got to be beyond excited...yeah for you!!! When is your move in date? You'll have to post pics...inside (bay windows esp.) and outside!!!
I promise to take good care of Bella...the mama plants all done with her blooms for now *sniffle, sniffle* but that's ok...I enjoyed them and got good shots of them while they were there.
As for the yucca, Kim...you don't need to send me the mama...I've only got the townhouse size front yard. I would be more then thrilled w/just one pup...I promise. You are so sweet to offer - esp. with how busy you must be at this point.
Offline for 2 days eh? Yeah...that would give me withdrawals as well...at least not being able to check in with ya'll! :)
Talk soon!
