I pruned our peach tree a little late this year...late February. The leaves (and flower buds) still haven't come back. Did I overprune it? Is it still dormant. This is the first week of April and it is still has no leaves.
If anyone has any information on this for me, I really would appreciate it..
Thanks,
Chuck
Peach tree in So California
I prune peach tree last year (early winter time) so I have already bloom and leaves also it get some fruits...
Thanks Rusty!! I thought that I was supposed to prune them in February. It gets a little cold in February and the first week of March for our area. I will try pruning earlier next year. We don't eat the fruits. We just give them at church and to our neighbors. The tree acts like a stepping stone between the hummingbirds and their feeders.
Take care,
Chuck
