ill start with Ellen Bosenquet crinum lilly

Thumbnail by junglebob

Oh how pretty! I have one of those crinum lilies, but it's just barely started sprouting. Can't wait for it to bloom!

Palm Bay, FL(Zone 9b)

Amy...so pretty...i have the milk and wine gigantic crinums as well...and lots of white spider crinums....love them all....would love to see pics of spring in Tenn.

I only have the one Ellen Bosanquet, but now that I know she survived the winter here, I want to get more. The Milk and Wine are beautiful and are next on my list. My yard isn't much to see, but I'll see if I can get some good spring pics for you in the next few days.

Palm Bay, FL(Zone 9b)

Amy Tenn is so pretty in the spring...am sure the forthysia should be blooming any time now...would love to see everyone's pics....just remembered at my place in Mo..the mountain side was FULL of Violets...like weeds...he he

Actually I think the forsythia have about bloomed out by now. We had a very mild winter and things started blooming earlier than normal. My camellia has already stopped blooming. It wasn't very pretty this year at all, though. The buds were set to open and we had a hard freeze several nights in a row (this after a pretty lengthy warm spell) and the few blooms that had opened turned brown and mushy and all the unopened buds fell off. I was so disappointed!

I'm pulling up violets left and right as if they're crabgrass (which I have plenty of, too)! LOL There are just so many of the little things I can't keep them all! I feel bad destroying them, but they're taking over everything!

Palm Bay, FL(Zone 9b)

Oh Amy ..Camellias are so wonderful...wish you had better luck..BUT congrats on spelling Camellia correctly...lots don't...8))...off to the gym and jungle..here..

Thank you, Bob. I had to practice to get it right! LOL Have fun today and I'll try to snap some pictures for you today!

The Gerber Daisy right ? yours are so pretty love those colors together.
Do you have any grass ? You must have the most beautiful yard. Our lot is 60 x 100 so I can picture your size you have a lot in you space !!

Allison..that's a gallarida....love the heat and always come back...i did plant all the trees myself..i have no grass..lol...except the dollar weed...he he..and little room to walk...and all kinds of surprises......

HI Bob! Well, with my uncooperative camera I was able to take all of ONE picture for you. It's our neighbor's Weeping Cherry (I think?). It's lovely! Wish I had one of these, but at least I get to see theirs.
The Bradford Pears and forsythia have stopped blooming, so I missed those. I've got a lovely yellow Iris blooming, that I'll try to get a pic of, but no promises, and some hyacinths that are going strong. (Darn Sony wants almost as much for a new battery as I could buy a whole new camera for!)

Amy how pretty..that weeping cherry is.just wonderful...and those bradford pears with their white blossoms can really put on a show...such a pretty time of year...know you're enjoying it....Hope those terrible tornadoes didn't come near you...and that things are better...Bob

We had some storms, but no tornadoes, thank goodness. Our storms weren't really that strong either. We were very lucky. We had made preparations in case it got bad, though. Always good to be prepared.

Fancy pictures, all.

Keyring, the only established Hellebore that I know of in the valley where I live is a Helleborus foetidus. (Almost full sun, too) I stopped by to talk to the gardener recently, and it had a red/purple edge to the flowers this year.

Kenton..some fancy pics yourself...enjoy it all!!

Missouri City, TX(Zone 9a)

I am always amazed at what other areas grow- we can't really do- or at least I can't- Hellebore- but Key, they stink? And Kenton, we can't grow most of what you grow- only some narcis, few tulips and not much of anything else w/ regard to spring bulbs. However, my Amaryllis grow like crazy and bloom like clockwork late March/early April.- we don't have to lift them and they are so easy, people who drive by think they are so amazing!
