Glad to hear you like the "Crystal" Streps - I got a Crystal Ice last fall, and it has a tiny bloom stalk on it, I'm trying not to nag it to death with my impatience for it to bloom.

Cheryl Hi ! Thank you. I got my Crystal last fall also. She was not cheap either. I took so many leaves off of her to grow babies to share I'm sure slowed her down. But she did take forever to come around and once she started blooming there has been no stopping her. Though not a lot . Mine does not get much light it's a few feet from the Window with windows on each side . She does progate fast and easy . I wish I had more room I really do enjoy Streps !

I tried propagating some Strep leaves that were sent to me once,and failed miserably....they rotted away.
How do you do it? (Oops...forgot to check those 'sticky' threads....I'll bet it's in there somewhere?!)

I do Strep leaves the easy way . There are three shown in most articles I do the one that's least likely to rot.
I use a whole leag or close to it. I label a solo cup 3 or 5 oz. . A whole is also put in the bottom for drainage. I fill with soil-less mixture. I use 60 percent Perilte. Put the leaf into middle of the cup just covering a pinch with soil. I water threw with warm/hot water. and put under lights of window. water when dry. Within 3-4 months you will have blooming plants !

Thanks Jan ! I can't beleive it either. I had even taken some of the flowers off. And they were big and deep coral . I potted up I think four good size plants, and put both Mom's back each have loads of babies growing with them ! Thrilling . I sure do love growing by leaf and sharing. I'll have a plant for me and several to share. All the other leaves you sent have lots of babies too ! I love the trailer you sent me she is so pretty ! Thank you ever so much !
And the first baby you ever grew by leaf and I got one. Yippee ! I will always treasure her !

I enjoy the memories of beautiful blooms :)) Every once in awhile I back and look at not only mine but other's pretty pictures ! I just had to bump these memories up :))
