I bought seeds on e-bay for Scarlet O'hara. Planted the vines and they ALL bloomed small blue flowers. BOY was I mad. It messed up my color scheme. I was so mad I didn't plant the remaining two seedlings. This a.m. I noticed that both have bloomed :) Did I get seeds that were polinated with a blue flower? Or did the person I bought these from just mix up the seeds?
Fish_knees - Looks like you have some nice colored blooms going on there...the blue one is Ipomoea hederacea(looks like var.integriuscula) and the 'wine' colored one is an Ipomoea nil...looks like the throat on the SOH is more solid than most...
I couldn't say for sure what the person you got the seeds from did,I only know what I see...but if you were expecting all Ipomoea nil SOH,they apparently got the seeds mixed up...
The blooms still look nice(!)...

Thanks Ron! I know I was told on this board that when I set up my tee pees for the MG's not to have them to close or the seeds would not be true. I thought a little blue flower and a large dark pink were a little to different to be a polination problem, but I'm new at this :)
