Anyone out there recognize this early bloomer? Seldom found under 4000' in southern Appalachian Mountains . Allegheny Serviceberry blooms somewhat earlier.

Perhaps no one is responding because you used the same headline as my previous post and they all think it's the same thread.
Or maybe you just need to give more hints! Woody or herbaceous? Size of plant? Scale of photo?

It's woody but a rather small tree. I've seen specimens 20' tall with a 4" diameter
