Does anyone know where I can buy a Catalpa tree?
Looking for a Catalpa tree
I'm assuming that you want Southern Catalpa. NearlyNativeNursery.com has them, but it may be too late to order them by mail. You can visit the nursery in person but it is located in Fayettville,GA.
There are several Catalpa species that are hardy in your area, including both of the North American natives and three more from China. Do you care which kind?
They grow very easily and vigorously from seed. Find a mature tree and pick a seed pod. There should still be some seeds in it. Plant them shallowly in well-tilled, good soil and keep the planting area totally weed free and watered, and you might have four-foot trees by this fall -- enough to give some away and keep the best one for yourself.

ForestFarm has them as well. I just rec'd one from them a few weeks ago.
