Kevin's Germination Antics: Paper towel method

Goodlettsville, TN(Zone 6a)

Here is a photo of Ipomoea wrightii that I started by nicking and soaking in the usual fashion.

Then I put them into a paper towel. All germinated. Half were fine and are now growing in a pot. The others looked like this. You probably do not want to leave them in the paper towel for too long.

Again, I started these Ipomoea muelleri by nicking and soaking then moved them to a paper towel. All ten germinated.

Another photo here of the Ipomoea muelleri. You can see that one did not quite make it. The others are happy in a hanging basket.

Way to go, Kevin! The ones that didn't make it looks like they got damp-off. I have other Ipomoea's to trade if you are interested?
