Hi Julie,

Hi Julie,
OMG!! :-) That's a lot of seeds in that package you sent!!
My daughter and I are looking forward to planting them this afternoon. This AM we're going to gather lots of containters so we can give them out to our friends.
Thanks again!

If you have extra seed store them in the refrigerator. You don't want them to dry out completely. Sometimes they get too old if left out and don't germinate well.
I had two plants that I had grown from seed growing close together. I dug them up and planted one. It was only about eight inches high. Then I forgot where I had planted it. Well, I remembered as I mowed over it! It will grow leaves and continue to grow, but now it will have a set back. The other one didn't have a real good root system so I potted it up. Luckily it is fine and filling up with leaves.
I will have to place a bamboo stick or something next to it when I plant it out so I don't mow over it also.
I had placed it out front by the street but the grass grew a little tall and I didn't have my glasses on. Live and learn, the old memory is not what it used to be.

Lora - Don't send the bubble envelope - just the postage. I always buy them for trades - it isn't a big deal to me :)
I am glad everyone will be able to grow & enjoy these flowers - many people have strong sentimental attachments to Rose of Sharons. My brother in law demands that they be planted when he moves (which he has done fairly frequently) He doesn't feel like it is home without them!
I am just beginning to experiment with growing some other colors - I have some red & pink varieties that I will be sowing this Spring.
I have mowed them over too - They resemble little sticks in Winter, so you don't recognize them as something that you purposely planted. I haven't lost a single seedling yet - they truly are tough plants! But - I have never kept any seeds over a year - I plant any extras that I have every Spring.

Julie, sorry for the lateness. I have been a bit 'under the weather', and my FIL has been the hospital with pneumonia, I brought him home today. The envelope is in the mail with postage. Also, thanks for the info. Marie

Char - We are all set! You sent me seeds already, along with the 2 stamps. All I trade for is seed OR postage - not both. (unless I made a boo boo somewhere along the line) It is not fair to do both.
I hope you will enjoy the seeds :)
