Kevin's Germination Antics: Oversoaked Ipomoea hirsuta?

Goodlettsville, TN(Zone 6a)

Last night I scored 25 Ipomoea hirsuta seeds and dropped them into a bowl of H2O-H2O2.
After about 8 hours, most all of the seeds look something like this.

Talk about coming out of your shell.

I went ahead and placed them in starter mix.

Has anyone had luck with seeds that came out of soak looking like this?

Yes I have, since I followed Rons advice on the 50-50 mix. Isnt it fun :)). I was afraide to damage the little embryos but it went okey. Happy planting.

Kevin - I've sprouted embryos like that placed into moistened papertowel and placed where they can get sunlight, but if the embryos are coming out of the shells that fast, either cut back on the H2O2 to 10-25% or just use warm water...

The Ipomoea 'hirsuta' is actually Ipomoea hederacea...

TTY,...
