Similar to the lasagna gardening idea. Originally I was disappointed that lasagna gardening didn't produce lasagna, but its pretty cool anyway.

My brother-in-law was stationed in the Army, in Italy, and came home swearing he saw spaghetti trees and regardless of how my mother would explain it was out there to dry he'd never believe her.
