How many of you all measure how much rainfall/precipitation you get daily in your garden? There are so many journals/diaries on here, but the few I've checked out merely have pictures of how their plants look and not so much the conditions they grew in other than climate zone. If some of you do measure your rainfall locally, think of joining cocorahs, whose website is cocorahs.org. The rain/snow/hail mesonet covers about 1/4 of the lower 48 United States, including Texas, the Mid-Atlantic, the Rockies, and the Midwest. That way, it would be easier to share rainfall information with one another, and you'd have the added benefit/pride in knowing your information was used by many people for all kinds of endeavors, including your National Weather Service, which can better verify its warnings and forecasts with information from cocorahs.
