Grey stuff on top of soil

OK, I'm new to trying to grow plants from seed. On one container, the soil is getting a thin, grey substance (mold?) on top. I've been bottom watering. What is it? Will it kill the plant? How do I get rid of it?

yes its a mold and it will not do your plants anygood.
it causes damp off i think you can buy stuuf to stop this cant rember what its called .my some one can help ,mmmmm not sure it maybe called dampoff?

A mix of Hydrogen peroxide with water can help. Water your plants a couple of times with it and see how it reacts with both the plant and the mold. I use a 1:10 (1 part Hydro. Perox. with 10 parts water).

I'm trying the water/peroxide mixture. Luckily, this problem only popped up on a pot with a rooted cutting someone had given to me. Hopefully, it'll be OK.
