Pinching back

I have a friend in Canada who has some JMG seedlings that are getting leggy and she wants to know if she can pinch them back if that will make a bushier plant or will it stunt its growth. She still has 2 months before she can place them outside.

If you look at this "Chocolate" http://davesgarden.com/forums/t/584820/ it has been "naturally" pinched at least over 10 times from the lamp I had in the window over it. I planted this one in the end of November.
