I don't know why I had it in my mind they were Optimaras. I'm sorry for the confusion. Sometimes I don't know what I think I know. Imagine that! LOL
I'm going to find the picture of the one I thought was UV Flash and post it for you. Maybe you'll recognize it.
Splotchy Leaves
OK I'm convinced that's tagged correctly because my camera flash washed the bloom color out. It's darker like the picture you posted.
Now this is the Ultra Violet Meteor I have. Is this right? (This is the one that had thrips. It has been treated repeatedly and I'm waiting for it to bloom. Please excuse the spilled pollen.)
OK Well, then we're back to knowing that the mom plant of the babies above is either Ultra Violet Flash or Ultra Violet Fireball. The pot says Fireball, but I already had three Ultra Violet Flash and I recognized this one as a perfect match, so I bought it, knowing the tag was wrong. When the mom blooms, it will be easy to tell the difference in the blooms. Does that count as knowing for certain who the mom is?
Edited because I can't type tonight.

yes
Yay! Good!
Hi Allison,
Thank you for sharing that great site showing leaf problems.
Joanne
It's a great site that I've bookmarked for further reference. Unfortunately, my leaves don't fit in any of the patterns listed. I'll just keep it away from the others and watch it for awhile to see if the new leaves grow normally.
Hi Joanne ! Your welcome ! Did you see BloomLovers out of Canada is in Business again ! She has great leaves for sale :))
Jan Doctor Optimara and more info in sticky may help. Let us know what happens. Good Luck !
Jan, I looked back over this thread and realized that I hijacked it from you. I'm sorry. I actually posted my picture because seeing the picture of yours reminded me of mine. I thought it might help with determining what was causing your leaves to turn that way. Just wanted you to know I wasn't trying to steal it from you. :o)
I hope everything turns out well with your AV!
I found an interesting q & a in Rob's about white on leaves. It turned out to be absence of green. Aparently the plant was starving. Not getting nitrogen.
Try checking the formula of the fertilizer you are using. The women in the Q & A was using a heavy bloom with no nitrogen. Rob recommends a balanced formula. Almost equal amounts of the three elements.
Another thing Rob recomends is never use Bloom Booster Fertilizer.( Middle number highest) Not even for shows. He says in his 25 years experience of shows and growing he has never used it and always has spectacular blooming winning show plants ! Rob also says best to use fertilizer with numbers of equal amounts if best !
Oh Nanna sometimes foliage can be Sporting too ! Like into Chimera Foliage Plants ! All Rob's Chimera Foliage plants Sported from All green plants. Like one example I used above
This plant solid foliage sported l
