Anyway we could have flower size as a category?

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

I know I sure would like to know how big the plumeria flowers are that I am looking at in the Plantfiles.

Maybe if problem, we could just have it on those plants that bloom size varies.

THANKS

Kell, we *could* add a new checkbox - but there's the issue of retrofitting another characteristic into a massive database of entries. One easier way around this would be for those creating entries and/or submitting photos (or those who come along after-the-fact and are familiar with the plant) to add a comment that includes bloom size.

I try to go by photos but they can be so misleading as to size.

Thanks Terry!

We do encourage our PF contributors to include an object for scale to the closeup photos - a ruler is excellent, or even your hand, or a coin, etc. - any familiar object that can help viewers quickly get an idea of the actual size of the leaf, flower, etc.

That is always a good idea, I guess. Too bad I have old lady's hands, they would ruin the pic. LOL.

It doesn't really matter. When I am researching on which cultivar to buy of a certain plant, I usually go by color intensity and flower size. I just do a google search and get the info that way.

Really Tony! I notice I now click to enlarge everything these days. I no longer can make out details. Terrible how things start to go downhill. And when I think this is the best I ever will be, I am even more freaked. LOL
