When I got married and lived in several places and states I devoured the library shelves for cook books. I found that I would like a good percent of the recipes but not all and wouldn't want to shelve a quanity of books in my kitchen for this very reason. I found that handwriting the favorites out on 4x6" cards and keeping them in plastic shoes boxes with dividers worked the best for me. Now I only have recipes I am willing to try and once I try one, if I really don't like it and can't think how to improve it and re-write it, I just toss the card, no books lost! How do you do them?
I did find one guys series of books, cracking the codes for national products and restaurant recipes, was worth buying! They are by Todd Wilbur (here's a link to Amazon so you can see all his books):

While I wouldn't take the time to duplicate my own Cadbury Cream Egg (hehe) he does have some other favorites in there.
