Hello,
I just got my snow fountain weeping cherry delivered from cottage farms. It is bare root. It has a lot of buds on it already.
It is raining slightly and about 60 degrees here in San Jose California.Should I plant it right away? Should I wait until it's warmer.I am new at this so any help is appreciated.I am so excited it arrived I want to plant it ASAP.

Plant bare roots as soon as possible. Be sure you do not let the roots dry out if you cannot plant it immediately.
60 F is hardly cold for a tree that is hardy, I believe, even in some parts of zone 4. Planting in cooler weather is, if anything, better for the tree. Heat is drying and stressful for trees that are newly planted and without well established root systems.
Thank You MaryMd7 I ill plant it today!
I just planted a snow fountain weeping cherry myself. It's still in the 30's & 40's here at night, but the tree is thriving. Keep it moist for awhile. (We haven't had rain in a loonng time.)
