Passion Flower

I have some passion flower seeds, and I did a few and nothing came up. Currently, it's in the basement, 65 degrees F under grow lamp. Should they be placed somewhere warmer in the 70-80 range?

Is it because it takes longer to germinate? What am I doing wrong?

I don't know anything about saving or planting the seeds of the passion plant, but I do know they are very easy to root....just take a cuting and keep it wet.......also when planted in the ground the roots of the plant pop up new babies all season...they are easy to pot up and walla a new plant for free.....shirleyt

I got mine to sprout by putting my seeds in a saucer full of dirt and leaving it outside for the summer, keeping it moist. Plant alot of seeds as I only got two to come up. What type of passion flower are you trying to grow? Mine was the hardy type.

You will have higher germination rates with Passiflora seeds the fresher they are, for older seed you can use GA3. Good luck.

I've had the best luck winter sowing them--they might need stratification.
