Has anyone in So California experienced success with wild geraniums? I have ordered a small amount of seeds to see if I can get them to grow. They are wild flowers in the East where I ordered the seeds from. DG Plant Files say that these geraniums will live up to 8b zone. The Connecticut(sp?) Botanical Society says that the plants will thrive in Zone 9. I am Zone 9a according to DG. I have heard that they are attractive to Swallowtail Butterflies.
Thanks,
Chuck
Spotted (Wild) Geraniums
I have a plant that I believe is a wild geranium. Small pink or lavender flowers. Deliciously scented leaves. It is a weed but I always kept some along the path where it would release its scent when walked on.
