Morning glory seeds for a sasbe

Crivitz, WI(Zone 4b)

CLOSED: Hi, I have lots of morning glory seeds that I need to give away for a SASBE.
These seeds were harvested last fall and since they were planted too close together to keep the vines apart they are all mixed up. In the mix could be:
early call
grandpa ott
star of yelta
chocolate
pearly gates
scarlett o'hara
crimson rambler
carmen
silk rose
flying saucers
cameo elegance
president tyler
milky way
jiahaun verigated leaf
and maybe a few more I can't remember. This year they will all be kept in diff. spots...
but for now I would like to give these a good home..it was really pretty seeing them all blooming together and they produced seeds like mad.
Please let me know if you will take them...planting season is almost here.

I had a HUGE tree fall down in 82 MPH winds a few months ago. I've had my neighbor's kids working on hollowing the base out... I'm thinking it would look FABULOUS if I fill the hole with potting soil and plant MG's to trail down the trunk. (The "trunk" is 42" in diameter and 3' tall.) I was going to mix some MG seeds together, but if you already have a mix - duh! Sounds like a marriage made in heaven.

I would love to do a trade. Is there anything you are looking for???

Crivitz, WI(Zone 4b)

Hi Linda,
As I said, the seeds are all mixed up. I don't know which seeds are what. I will be glad to send you some but....they are all mixed together.
My name and address are in the addy section.

Sequee,
Sounds great. Right now there is nothing I need in exchange...just want these seeds to get planted somewhere :-)
Sorry to hear about your tree, but I like your idea for the morning glorys.
My name and address are in the addy exchange.

I tucked a few of those into your envy - just in case you were in need of some blues. They are Heavenly Blue, one of the only 2 that took off for me last year. I learned too late (after planting dozens of seeds) that I have some kind of critter that just loves baby MG's. Ate each and every one of them at the 2" stage. Then I got wise and planted the Grandpa Ott's/Star of Yelta in pots! Foiled 'em!

My mailbox is a block away on my neighbors property (our mail trucks only deliver to every other block), and he has no problem with the ???

I promise to take photos of you babie come summer!

Howdy Is - you keepin' out of trouble? HA!

Dillonvale, OH(Zone 6a)

LOL Nope!

Actually yea been too busy to get into much trouble. Between DS and the kids all with the flu this weekend and my ebay stuff, I've been nuts!

How about you?

I would love any of the above mentioned seeds you have.....just a few of each since I can then collect my own seeds would be great!
I have started Star of Yelta right now and it is doing awsome! it was the first thing to pop up in my seed trays....every seed I planted came up I was shocked!
I am new to all of this andjust threw it in the little tray with some good planting soil and take them in and out of the house...letting them get sun during the day and if it rains they stay out. Then in for the cooler nights.

Seems to be working out just fine :)

Did you get my envy ok?

Carmel, NY(Zone 6b)

Well, I guess you did! LOL! The seeds were in my box when I got my mail today!

Thank you so much for your generosity! That's an incredible amount of seeds in there!

Crivitz, WI(Zone 4b)

Sequee,
Hi, glad you got them, I have plenty more if you would like some :o)

I think these will hold me over a bit - LOL! Since I have so many, I'm going on a planting frenzy. It's a bit early here, but I'm going to plant some anyway! I need to see things growing...NOW!

Thanks again!

Crivitz, WI(Zone 4b)

Gardening_in_GA,
Hi, as I stated above, the seeds are all mixed togather.......I don't know which ones are which. If you would like some anyway, just send me a SASBE and I will ship them right out. Good job with your Star of Yelta. I wait to plant mine (outside) last year I started some in the house and they got too big too fast. They come up in a couple days and grow like mad any way so I don't even bother with them in the house, besides I have hundreds of other flowers (of all kinds) I started in the house and thats enough work.

Sequee, My daughter wants a snail vine but she is waiting for Parks to say they have them again, they were sold out. Don't know where else to look :o(

Carmel, NY(Zone 6b)

Dang - I don't have any seeds left, and I don't know how to get them off the plants - honestly... It's weird thing - even when the flower "passes", there's no seeds left behind.

Here's a picture of my babies - these seeds were soaked in water until they grew "tails" - about 3 days, then planted into potting soil on April 1.

Here's the other pot. The first pot has about a dozen seedlings, this one has about 14. I'm very proud of them. Only one of my Japanese MG's is up, and I have 2 Pink Star and 1 Texas Wine poking their little noses up!

There is going to be quite a Morning Glory show around here!!!
