Help! I thought that the pages of Dave's Jounal used to have a back arrow on each page - I may be wrong but I think something has changed. Was sure that it used to be there but I could be wrong. I now find when I go between forums and i hit the x at the top right hand corner it takes me right out of the site and I have to start from scratch again. It may be something I have done incorrectly or maybe the back arrow has gone walk a bout? On some pages I can get back in by going to the bottom os the page where there is a path back but not on all. I am confused, can anyone so this out for me.t
the back arrow
If I understand your question right, I think your problem is with your browser settings, not with DG website. If you're using Internet Explorer, look at the menu bar across the top of the screen and click on "View", then "toolbars", then make sure the toolbar called "Standard buttons" is checked off (at least this is how it works in my version of IE, if you have an older one the options may be called something slightly different). This should bring back the toolbar that has a back arrow, forward arrow, buttons for stop/refresh/home, etc. If you have trouble with this, you can also hit the backspace key on your keyboard and it'll take you back to the last page you were on.
ecrane3, thank you for your reply. Followed your instrucctions and found that the standard toolbar was already checked, so I will try using the backspacing key in future. I must have done something strange when using the net to make the back and forward arrows disppear into the unknown!
ecrane3 - hey, all is now sorted out. I originally went to the Internet explorer site and looked at that toolbar I have just checked the Dg site toolbar and found that on this site, navigation was not ticked, I did so and my arrows are back.
Thank you for helping me to get everything back as it should be.
I'm glad everything's normal again--I've had that happen to me a couple times and it was really frustrating until I figured out how to get the toolbars back again.
